Anita J. McCain

Anita J. McCain, 84, of Auburn passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018 at Auburn Nursing and Rehab.

She was born April 18, 1933 in Bruce, IL, the daughter of George and Monna Sampson King.

She married Harold A. “Jim” McCain on April 15, 1958 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1999.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan E. Grossner, great-grandson, Logan Grossner and sister, Donna Jean.

Anita owned Anita’s Beauty Salon and Nita’s Knits.  She was a member of New Life Family Church, Auburn.

Surviving are one daughter, Bonnie Richmond and one son, George  “Brett”  McCain; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Elaine Larkin; one brother, Charles (Lisa) King; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1pm till time of services at 2pm, Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn with Rev. Larry Griffith officiating.  Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.
