Walter L. “Pete” Barnes, 88, of Auburn passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Auburn Rehab and Health Care.

He was born July 20, 1931, the son of Lilly and Willie Barnes.

He married Barbara Wade in 1960 and she preceded him in death on June 18, 2005.

Surviving are three sons, Kevin (Denise) Barnes of St. Paul, MN, David Barnes of Auburn and Terry (Cindy) Barnes of East Peoria; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Private graveside services will be held in Chillicothe City Cemetery.
