Vickie Jean Prill

Vickie Jean Prill, 64 of Chatham passed away on January 16, 2023 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born July 11, 1958 in Springfield the daughter of Clarence E. and Betty J. Cox. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Vickie married Philip Prill on June 23, 1979 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chatham.

Vickie graduated from Springfield High School and also Illinois College. She was employed by the State of Illinois for 35 years and 9 months, retiring in 2015 as Chief Chemist. Vickie also was Philip’s partner in farming.

Vickie was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chatham where she enjoyed playing the organ and piano for many years and was a member of the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed ushering at UIS Performing Arts and exercising with her friends.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Philip; sisters-in-law, Karen (Mike) Gorsage, Jinny Richmond, Becky Prill, and Jennifer Prill; step-father, James Covington; three nieces, two nephews, three great nieces, and three great nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10631 Curran Road, Chatham on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm.

According to Vickie’s wishes, cremation was provided by Premier Cremation Services. Bramley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
