Timothy Roy Bandy passed from life on earth to eternity in heaven on Sunday, October 5, 2025 as a result of Parkinson’s.
He was born on September 13, 1951 to James A and Mary Ellen Wilson Bandy in Beardstown, IL.
Tim graduated from Girard High School in 1970 and then enlisted in the Air Force. He graduated from Western Illinois University with a degree in Law Enforcement. Tim then started his career in law enforcement as the Chief of Police in Camp Point, IL. He then became a railroad detective in Chicago, and following that a police officer in Lisle, IL. After his law enforcement career, he then opened his own business as a hair stylist.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John and several uncles and aunts.
Surviving are his brother, Jim (Connie) Bandy of Auburn; nephews, Chad (Kim) Bandy and their children, Colton, Delaney (husband, Christian) and Gage of the state of Virginia; Chet (Shannon) Bandy and their children, Deklin, Reese, Hudson and Palmer of Downs, IL; cousins, Terry Moore of Springfield, Mike (Janie) Hulett of Minnesota and Dave (Karen) Hulett of Florida.
Private family graveside services will be held at Beardstown City Cemetery, Beardstown.
