Thomas A. Primrose

Thomas A. Primrose, 89 of Virden passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at his home.

He was born Jan. 27, 1932 in Easton, PA the son of Donald and Mary Miller Primrose.

He married Jane Whitler Brown on July 31, 1999.

Tom served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a corporate pilot for Anheuser Busch and retired at age 62. He then drove a school bus and worked on a farm for several years.

He enjoyed time with his family and friends, working with stain glass, making wine for the “hood”, telling stories, and Cardinals baseball.

Tom was a proud husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; four daughters, Diane (Earl) Searfass, Cheryl Urmy, Barbara (David) Stankovic, and Tara Brown; two sons, Timothy (Paula) Primrose and Jim (Melissa) Brown; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren.

"Handshake of Life Celebration" will be Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Oak Hills Country Club in Girard from 2 pm till 5 pm. Appetizers will be served and drinks will be available. Please bring a firm handshake and your best Tom story!
