Thelma M. Sonneborn

Thelma M. Sonneborn, 87 of Franklin passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Arcadia Care in Auburn.

She was born January 31, 1937 in Posey, IL; the daughter of Bessie and Desiree Castiaux.

Thelma married W. Lyndal Sonneborn on August 17, 2002 and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2013.  Also, preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Thelma was a professional mom, loving and caring for her kids and grandkids.

Surviving are her three sons, Mark Stone, Jim (Loretta) Sonneborn and Lyndal (Jennifer) Sonneborn; five grandchildren, Keely Sonneborn, Mark Stone, Jr.,  Timothy, Temperance and Tatum Sonneborn; several nieces and nephews.

As per Thelma’s request, her body was donated to science.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
