Terry Wayne Long

Terry Wayne Long, 72, hometown of Franklin, IL passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 at Autumn Meadows of Cahokia, IL.

He was born on May 2, 1950 in Jacksonville, IL, the son of Ralph Edward and Marjorie Louise Robson Long.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol and son, Christopher.

Terry served his country in the U.S. Army with one tour in Vietnam, he retired in 1988 with 20 years, 6 months and 27 days.  He is also retired from employment with the State of Illinois.

He is survived by one daughter, Christina (Omar) Lewis-Fields of Atlanta, GA; two sons, Joseph (Kaila) Long and Samuel (Haley) Long both of Chatham; nine grandchildren; one brother, Larry of Quincy; one sister, Sharon of Winthrop Harbor, IL.

Celebration of Life will be held from 5pm til 7pm, Monday, September 26, 2022 at Bramley Funeral Home in Divernon.  Private graveside military honors will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
