Tenika Nicole (Beard) Dupuis

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter, Tenika Nicole Beard Dupuis on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Tenika was born October 1, 1982; the daughter of Terry and Nikki Beard.  She was preceded in death by her father, grandmother, Evelyn Beard, grandma and grandpa, Louis and Sue Long, uncle, Louis Long and two aunts, Debi and Penney Long.

She was a member of New Life Family Church where she spent many years on the Praise and Worship Team.  Tenika loved to sing and play guitar.  Her passion for music was passed down to her girls. 

One of her greatest adventures was going on a missions trip to India for a month when she was 15, doing street ministry in the town of Hyderabad.  She encountered two snakes, one rattler that she threw her bible down on to get on down the mountain trail and the other snake grabbed her by the heal and wouldn’t let go.  She helped with the birth of a baby girl, whom she named Nikki-Sue after her mom and grandma.

Tenika was so passionate about her teaching at Hope School.  She was beloved by all her students. 

She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed beyond imagination. 

Tenika is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Mona Clarie, age 9 and Greta Sue, age 7; parents, Dave and Nikki Vetterhoffer; one brother, Bracken (Chelsea) Beard; one nephew, Bernie Beard, age 5; uncle, Kurt Long; many step-sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10am till time of services at 11am, Saturday, September 26, 2026 at New Life Family Church with Rev. Larry Griffith officiating.  A dinner will follow services.
