Sue Dowson Obituary

Sue A. Dowson, 77 of Pawnee passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 10, 2024.

She was born June 24, 1947 in Decatur, IL; the daughter of Donald and Dorothy Crowe Hogan.

She married Dean Dowson on November 12, 1966.

Sue was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Chatham.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Surviving are her husband, Dean; four daughters, Donna (Tim) Eike, Michelle Dowson, Jodi (Scott) Mundhenke and Janelle (Steve) Moffitt; six grandchildren, Dr. Katelyn (Bo) Eike Davenport, Kyle (Cassidy Webster) Eike, Chase (fiancé, Bianna Edmonds) Mundhenke, Ty (fiancé, Abby Bailey) Mundhenke, Owen and Drew Moffitt; one great-granddaughter, Sloane Eike; three sisters, Donna Logue, Bonnie (Richard) Williams, Cindy (Dave) Loyd; four brothers, Larry (Diane) Hogan, Bob (Kay) Hogan, Ken (Daphne) Hogan and Patrick (Mary) Hogan; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3pm till 7pm, Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Chatham.  Funeral mass will be held at 10am, Wednesday at the church with Rev. Joe Molloy officiating. Burial will be at Stout Cemetery in Chatham.
