Steve Sullivan

Steve Sullivan, 70 of Chatham passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026 at St. John’s Hospital.

He was born November 4, 1955 in Springfield, the son of Marvin and Gladys Esper Sullivan.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Debbie Wanner.

Steve married Pam Brady on September 28, 1974 in Divernon.

Steve was a volunteer fire fighter in Chatham for over 20 years and also served as the trustee and commissioner for the fire department.  He worked at the Chatham Community Center.  He enjoyed talking to people and never knew a stranger.   He loved animals of all kinds.

Surviving are his wife, Pam; one daughter, Amanda Sullivan; his dog, Maggie; several family and friends he met along the way.

Private family services will be held.
