Stephen "Steve" J. Gyorkos

Stephen “Steve” J. Gyorkos, 75 of Auburn passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 at his home.

He was born July 28, 1949 in Springfield, the son of Steve and Wanda Wilson Gyorkos. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenny Gyorkos

Steve married Aggie Allen on February 20, 1971 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Auburn.

Steve served in the US Navy. He owned and operated Steve’s Repair and Towing for many years. He also worked for the City of Auburn, B.A.B. Farms, and Dickey-john. Steve was a car enthusiast who enjoyed racing stock cars, demo derbies, and restoring cars. He also enjoyed refurbishing tricycles for his grandkids.

Surviving are his wife, Aggie; two sons, Clint (Stacey) Gyorkos and Justin (Morgan) Gyorkos; six grandchildren, Trevor Gyorkos, Katlynn (James) Kuberski, Tanner (companion, Dustin Helton), Ashlee (Colten) Robinson, Hannah, and Emma; six great grandchildren, Braxton, Beckett, Tyson, Ford, Maggie, and Henry; one brother, Rich (Susan) Gyorkos;  and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Visitation will be from 1pm till 3pm, Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Bramley Funeral Home, 150 Reichert Rd, Divernon.

Memorials may be made to New Life Family Church.
