Stanley Fuchs Obituary

Stanley Edwin Fuchs, 66 passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 at Alton Memorial Hospital due to complications of Covid19.

Stanley was born March 2, 1954 in Springfield to Wayne and Darlene (Specht) Fuchs of Farmersville. He was a 1972 graduate of Lincolnwood High School in Raymond. He married Nancy Jo Shores on July 1, 1977 and was blessed to adopt her daughter and have three more children together. Stanley was preceded in death by his father Wayne O. Fuchs.

Stanley had a love for the freedom of the open road. He worked in trucking all his life, starting out hauling grain and retiring as an Owner-Operator of his own trucking company KASTCO in 2010 (an acronym of his 4 children’s initials). Due to health issues, Stanley spent his last years at Robings Manor in Brighton where he held the resident elect position of Nursing Home President. A position that brought him joy to help resolve issues and give a voice to all.

Stanley’s greatest joy in this life was his family and gathering around the table. He was a great conversationalist that made just about anybody feel better after a few minutes of chatting, whether you’d known him for 10 minutes or ten years! His ever inspiring love for the faith in Jesus, big smile, hearty laugh and joking nature made him a treasure to us all. Holidays and celebrations were the highlight of his life, even to the end. Delicious food and meaningful time with loved ones, these were the moments he looked forward to and cherished the most.

Stanley is survived by his children, Angelique Fuchs, Stephanie (Ryan) Hotarek, Katie (Benjamin) Prose; and Troy (Whitney) Fuchs; 9 grandchildren, Kalvin, Audrey, Wyatt, Johannah, Theadorah, Campbell, Everett, Steven, and Maran; his mother, Darlene (Specht) Fuchs of Farmersville; four siblings, David (Jean) Fuchs, Christa (Randy) Snyder, Kara (Dan) Hitchings, and Phillip (Andrea) Fuchs; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service for family will be held at Morrisonville Cemetery Friday, December 11, 2020.
