Shirley J. Swain

Shirley J. Swain, 92 of Auburn passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024.

She was born September 27, 1931 in Springfield, the daughter of Ivan and Myrtle Painter Ware.

She married Paul B. Swain on May 29, 1948 and he preceded her in death on September 19, 2005.

Shirley was a lifelong member of Auburn Christian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Swagerty and Paula (Leaman) Sawyer; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, George and Ed Ware; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, May 31, 2024 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield with Rev. Josh Mangano officiating.  A luncheon will follow at the Auburn Christian Church.
