Shirley Arlene Caldwell

Shirley Arlene Caldwell, 91 of Springfield passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Sunrise Manor in Virden.

She was born August 7, 1933 in Rome, NY the daughter of Richard and Bessie Wiltsie Cadrette.

Shirley married Bobbie Gean Caldwell on April 13, 1959 and he preceded her in death on August 18, 2013.  Also, preceded in death by sister, Ileane Wickham.

Shirley retired from the Secretary of State where she was a Supervisor for titles and licenses.

Surviving are her son, Robert (Vicki) Caldwell of Divernon; granddaughter, Jennifer Caldwell; two great-grandchildren, Kaylyn and Danny; four step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Leonard “Butch” (Kathy) Cadrette; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield with Pastor Eddie Miller officiating.
