Sheila Stade Obituary

Sheila Ann Stade, 81, of Athens, formerly of Divernon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at her home surrounded by family.

Sheila was born on December 20, 1938, in Springfield, Illinois to Harry Jay and Ida Ruth Gassner Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Sharron Bell.

Sheila is survived by her daughters, Cindy Cody of Athens; Michelle (Chris) Lewman of Athens; son, Jeff Bentley of Cape Coral, Florida; grandson, Chris (Meaghan) Cody of Auburn; great-granddaughter, Kyleigh; great-grandson, Wyatt; niece, Sherri (Tim) Talbert of Chatham; nephew, Kevin (Diane) Bell of Chatham. Sheila was also survived by her best friend, Debbie Clark.

In keeping with Sheila’s wishes, a private gathering will be held for her immediate family.
