Ron Faulkner

Ron Faulkner, 83 of Glenarm passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 12, 1942 in Springfield, the son of David Earl and Bobbie Eileen Sumpter Faulkner.  He was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Faulkner;  grandson, Justin Smith and brother, Walt Faulkner

Ron married Lynda Cox on February 6, 1965 in Springfield at the Third Presbyterian Church. 

Ron served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.  He worked many Illinois State Fairs as a stage hand.  He owned Performance Products Speed Shop.  Ron enjoyed cooking especially for the family at Thanksgiving and Christmas.  He was an avid Cardinals fan.

Surviving are his wife, Lynda; a daughter, Ronda (David) Bates of Springfield; one granddaughter, Ashley (Jon Organ) Smith of Chatham; two brothers, Donald (Vicky) and Jimmy Faulkner both of Springfield; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10am until time of services at 11am, Monday, August 18, 2025 at Bramley Funeral Home, 150 Reichert Rd., Divernon. Burial will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery with Military Honors.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
