Rogers “Bud” LaRue Redeford Jr

Rogers LaRue “Bud” Redeford Jr, 89 of Glenarm passed away Friday, December 19, 2025 at Trustwell in Springfield.

He was born May 8,1936 in Springfield, IL the son of R. LaRue and Bessie Eynon Redeford Sr. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Dickey and Dollie Bazar.

Bud served in the US Airforce. He was employed at AEC Fire Equipment. Bud enjoyed working on his John Deere tractor, meeting his friends for coffee at the truck stop, and going to tractor pulls. He served as Assistant Fire Chief in Divernon for several years.

Surviving are three children, Peggy Redeford, Bonnie Redeford, and Roger (Wendy LeBlanc) Redeford; two grandchildren, Kiya and Abrielle; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11am, December 30, 2025 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Rev. Paul Dinges officiating.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.
