Robert "Bob" Rubenacker

Robert “Bob” Rubenacker, 76, of Auburn passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at his home.

He was born Feb. 23, 1944 in Cairo, IL, the son of Paul and Phyllis Baker Rubenacker.

He married Brenda Miller on Nov. 2, 1974 in Creve Couer, IL.

Bob retired from Aramark in 2002 after 35 years of services.  His family was his life.  One of his greatest joys was teaching his children and grandchildren about the great outdoors and to fish and hunt.  He enjoyed cooking and was known for his great fried fish and smoked salmon.

He was a member of Holy Cross Parish.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda; two children, Dawn (Shane) Wheat and Aaron (Dana) Rubenacker; three grandchildren, Scott and Jadyn Wheat and Hunter Rubenacker.

Private family services will be held.
