Robert W. Ketchum, 84 of Fountain Hills, AZ formerly of Petersburg passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023.
He was born Oct. 20, 1939 in Langleyville, the son of Roy and Maude Campbell Ketchum. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jim and Gene; one sister, Anna Belle.
He married Joyce Ladage on Oct. 14, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn.
Robert served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Ketchum Standard Service in Petersburg. He also operated the F/S filling station in Petersburg. Upon moving to Arizona he owned and operated Ketchum Automotive and Tire in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife and son, Scott.
He loved his wife, family, people, God, cars, and sports with all his heart. Robert found a ’57 Chevy in Granite City in a pasture and restored it from the ground up with a candy apple red finish.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce; two sons, David (Stephanie) Ketchum and Scott Ketchum; five grandchildren, Nick (Jennifer) Ketchum, Miranda Jane (Chris) Jamrock, Paxton Ketchum, Dawson Ketchum and Kenyun Cruz Ketchum; four great-grandchildren, Gavin and Kyson Ketchum and Kylie and Giacobbe Jamrock; half-brother, Sammy (Janice) Barger; step-sister, Sharron Nickel; brother in law, Roger (Sandy) Ladage; two sister in laws, Donna Oglesby and Carol Kempher; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11am, Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023 at Brush Creek Cemetery in Divernon with Rev. Geoffery Gross officiating. A luncheon will follow the graveside service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Petersburg.
Memorials may be made to the Petersburg Fire Department or Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Petersburg.
