Robert D. Hagler

Robert D. Hagler, 71 of Pawnee passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025 at his home.

He was born June 28, 1954 in Springfield, the son of Harold and Elizabeth Childers Hagler.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Sandy Helmerichs.

Robert married Cathy on May 3, 1979.

Robert graduated from Girard High School.  He retired from Pawnee School District from the IT department.  He was a professional musician for over 40 years. Robert loved tinkering on guitars, model WWII airplanes and cars. He loved his grandkids and being their Papa.

Surviving are his wife, Cathy; two children, Kelly (Jeff) Clemence and Brian Hagler; grandchildren, Lizzy and Mason Clemence; brother, Harold (Donna) Hagler; nephew, Matt (Allison) Helmerichs and niece, Amie (Shannon) Vaden.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5pm till 7pm, Monday, September 22, 2025 at Lime Street Café, 951 S. Durkin Dr., Springfield, IL 62704.
