Richard C. Rutter

Richard C. Rutter, age 82, of Andres, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Salem Village Nursing and Rehabilitation in Joliet, IL.

He was born on December 27, 1940, in Joliet, IL, the son of Clifford and Ruth (Silveus) Rutter. 

He retired from the electo-motive division of General Motors Corporation in La Grange, IL after 31 years of employment.  Richard was an avid tennis player, and enjoyed boating and hunting.  He was known to be a sharp dresser and be the owner of the fastest cars around.  He loved animals, especially his cats and dogs.

He is survived by his brother, Ron Rutter of Andres, IL and his great friend and companion, Carmen Elizalda.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Ruth Rutter and his sister, Carolyn Joyce (Rutter) Johnson.

 Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home, 112 W. Main St.,Peotone, IL on Monday, January 23, 2023, from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at Bramley Funeral Home, 550 E. Jackson St., Auburn, IL 62615 on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 1:30 p.m.  Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service.  Interment will follow at Auburn Cemetery.
