Patricia Kay (Wallace) Forbes, 82, of Auburn passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Evercare of Lebanon in Lebanon, Illinois.
She was born on October 29, 1942, in Pana, the daughter of Thorton (T.A.) and Virginia (Gordon) Wallace. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1960. She lived in Central Illinois her entire life.
She was known to have a vibrant personality, a fiery spirit, and an infectious laugh. She never met someone she'd consider a “stranger.” Her house was rarely quiet, filled with her many friends or her various knick-knacks that she insisted should make noise or light up. She, also, loved watching sports, especially the Chicago Cubs.
She married Michael Nangle in 1963, Theodore “Charlie” Halleman in 2004, and John Forbes in 2017.
She is survived by an estranged daughter, Lora Easley, of Schram City; a sister, Carol (Mark) Meyer, of Carlinville, a grandson, David Baker, of Montgomery County; two granddaughters, Summer Hill, of Oceanside, CA, and Nicole Baker, of Litchfield, IL; a step-grandson, Richard Brown, of The Dalles, OR; great-grandson, Caden Hill, step-great-granddaughter, Alex Brown; and step-great-grandson, Orion Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Cpt, Amy J. Brown, USAF; her husbands: Theodore Halleman and John Forbes; and her sister, Nancy Blackburn.
Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held at 11am, Monday, July 21, 2025 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, Illinois with her daughter, Cpt. Amy Brown.
In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Activity Department at Evercare of Lebonon in Lebonon, IL.
