Norman D. Flentje, 88, of Thayer passed away Sunday, Aug 2, 2020 at his home.
He was born Jan. 29, 1932 in Lincoln, the son of Rudolph and Cleo Dickman Flentje. He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant children, Rebecca and Dennis; sister, Delores Gronewald; brother, Frank Flentje and son in law, Mike VanBebber.
Norman served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a farmer and later sold real estate and farm machine equipment for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; three children, Linda (Marty) Crews of Girard, Sandra VanBebber of Scottville and Bob (Julie) Flentje of Virden; six grandchildren, Susan (Nic) Cook, Clint (Amy) VanBebber, Amy (David) Clevenger, Dana (Rusty) Stewart, Chase Flentje, Hunter (fiancée, Brittany Russell) Flentje; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; one sister, Joyce (Jim) Wilcox; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation rites were accorded.
Per Norman’s request there will be no services.
