Neil Alexander Forestier, 27 of Arlington, WA, formerly of Auburn, IL passed away on December 31, 2023.
He was born on January 22, 1996 in Springfield, the son of Kelly and Crystal (Conkle) Forestier. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Barbara Forestier and maternal grandfather, Ed Conkle.
At the time of passing, he worked for Kerberos as an armed guard at federal facilities in Washington state. He was a self-employed electrician.
He was a shining light to everyone he met and called everyone his best friend. He lived a good life and did many things that he wanted to do. He most loved the outdoors and basking in the glory of the Lord’s creation. He enjoyed shooting, fishing, playing pool and organizing pool tournaments, karaoke, disc golf and MMA. He earned his 2nd degree black belt from Auvenshine’s Tae Kwon Do in Auburn, IL. He loved his country and proudly served in the United States Navy. Before and after his service, he was always a protector, guardian, rescuer and friend to all those who could not fight for themselves.
Surviving are his parents; grandmother, Elaine Conkle; grandparents, Cindy and Jim Dilley; ex-wife, Amber Forestier; stepson, Daxton Alexander Drury; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 2pm till time of services at 4pm, Monday, January 15, 2024 at Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn. Graveside services will be held at 10am, Tuesday at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield with Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.
In honor of Neil, please wear something flannel, patriotic or whatever you are comfortable in.
