Mildred “Millie” L. Henry, 89 of Pawnee passed away Friday, Aug. 20, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born June 14, 1932 in Springfield, the daughter of George and Frances Miller Abberley.
Millie married John Porter Henry on Aug. 19, 1951 and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James and George Abberley; grandson, Rocky Pharris.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Pawnee and later Holy Cross Parish in Auburn. Millie was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Pawnee Area Catholic Women United and Pawnee Lunch Bunch. She managed the Senior Citizen’s Daily Bread program in Pawnee for over 20 years and volunteered at the Pawnee Food Pantry. She enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She also enjoyed reading and puzzles.
Surviving are her six children, Deborah (Tony) Pharris, Michael (Deborah) Henry, Brian (Susan) Henry, David (Wendy) Henry, Tracey (David) Rohdeman and Kelli (Geno) Marchizza; 12 grandchildren, Dr. John (Dr. Jennifer) Pharris, Justin (Mackenzie) Henry, Jason (Hannah) Henry, Sarah (Cory) Sisk, Emily Henry, Dr. Aaron (Brianne) Henry, Dr. Collin Henry, Jake Rohdeman, Travis (Jessica) Rohdeman, Alexandria, Gervasio and Olivia Marchizza; 12 great-grandchildren, Natalia, Addison, Tyler and Taya Pharris, Layla Rohdeman, Evie and Anderson Sisk, Jace and Mara Henry, Mae and Gwen Henry and Jack Henry; long time friend and neighbor, Imogene Jones.
Visitation will be from 5pm till 7pm, Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn. Funeral Mass will be at 10am, Thursday at Holy Cross Parish, Auburn with Rev. James Palakudy officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pawnee.
Memorials may be made to the Pawnee Food Pantry or Holy Cross Parish.
