Mick Cronister 81, of Girard formerly of Divernon passed away Friday, July 12, 2024 at his home.
He was born July 1, 1943 in Springfield, the son of Gladys Cronister. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Erika Reid; siblings, Donna (Hank) Handley, Peggy (Sam) Eddington, Gerald “Butch” (Barb) Cronister, Sharon (Tom) Gorbett, Jacqueline Paoni; father-in-law, Charlie Johnson; two brothers-in-law, Ron Nilsson and Dick Meier.
He married Pam Johnson on September 26, 1981.
Mick was a truck driver most of his life. He owned and operated Players Bar and Grill in Divernon for several years. He worked at several skatelands.
Surviving are his wife, Pam; five children, Sharon (Pat) Burton, Tracey Cronister, Mick (Rita) Cronister, Jr., John Reid and Katie (Jared) McElroy; four siblings, Patricia Meier, Henry (Susan) Cronister, Joyce (Paul) Eddington and Rebecca (Bob) Smith; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Maxine Johnson; four sisters-in-law, Debra Nilsson, Kathy Johnson, Vicki (Martin) Lea and Susan (Dave) Vincent; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4pm till 7pm, Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Bramley Funeral Home, 150 Riechert Rd, Divernon. Funeral services will be at 10am, Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Nic Cook officiating. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery, Divernon.
