Michael “Mike” Boelling

Michael “Mike” Boelling, 65 of Pawnee passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital.

He was born June 3, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Jerome and Lenora Gastreich Boelling.

Mike married Sheryl Guitar on April 2, 1977 in Kirkwood, MO.

He was an elevator mechanic for over 30 years.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and wood working.  Mike was an avid fan of the Cardinals and the Blues.  He started the JFL program for Pawnee and most of Central Illinois.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.  He was a coach and mentor to many kids in the Pawnee area.  He will be missed by many relatives and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Sheryl; one daughter, Jennifer (Josh) Sitze of Pawnee; one son, Chris Boelling of Springfield; two grandchildren, Kaden and Mason; one sister, Diane Eidman of Pawnee and one brother in law, Kevin Guitar of St. Louis, MO.

CDC protocol shall be followed with face masks required and 50 people in the building at a time.

Visitation will be from 5pm till 8pm, Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn.  Services will be at 11am, Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 at the funeral home.
