Meghan Elizabeth Atchison

Meghan Elizabeth Atchison, 41 of Chatham passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 25, 1984, in Springfield, the daughter of John Atchison and Merri Ellen King.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents and one uncle, Steve Atchison.

Meghan loved to spend time with her kids and with any kids that needed help in times of need.  She loved animals, flowers, the color pink, drawing, painting and reading.

Surviving are her three sons, Mason Elliot, Mitchell Evan and Marc Ethan Atchison; mother, Merri Ellen King (companion, Ken Atterberry); father, John R. (Robin) Atchison; paternal grandfather, John (Cathy) Atchison; several aunts, uncle, and cousins; stepsister, Brenna Young.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 10:30 am until time of memorial service at 11:30 am at Sugar Creek United Methodist Church in Chatham with Pastor Paul Dinges officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church.

Memorials may be made to the family for her boys.
