Max Bain Dixon, 87, of Pawnee died on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Medical Center.
He was born at home in Pawnee on June 30, 1937, the son of the late Mack and Willie Carver Dixon.
He was a 1956 graduate of Pawnee High School. He retired from the State of Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety as a Supervisor after 40 years of service. Max also served for many years in the Illinois National Guard.
He married Julie Baker on July 30, 1960, at Pawnee Methodist Church. After living in Western Springs, Illinois for 40 years they returned to Pawnee to the Baker Family home.
He is survived by his wife Julie, of Pawnee; 3 sons, Stephen (wife Cindy), Scott (wife Melanie), and Michael (wife Susan); 7 Grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Horse Creek Cemetery.
