Mary L. Sexton

Mary L. Sexton, 87 of Chatham passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021 at her daughter’s home.

She was born Springfield in Jan. 1, 1934, the daughter of Harold and Margaret Weatherford Chandler.

Mary married James Sexton on Nov. 28, 1954 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2020.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Eric; son-in-law, John Baisden; two brothers, Thomas and Alfred Chandler; two sisters, Eunice Messersmith and Wanda Jean Ladage.

She was a member of Chatham Christian Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Pat Baisden; two sons, Bob (Carrie) Sexton and Mark (Belinda) Sexton; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Salmon; several nieces and nephews.

Private family graveside will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Springfield.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Chatham Christian Church.
