Mark Palmer

Mark Palmer, 70 of Divernon passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his home.

He was born Feb. 27, 1951 in Springfield, the son of Charles and Virginia Pendleton Palmer.

Mark married Georgie Ellis on March 3, 2005.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dale Palmer and one sister, Susan McCann.

He worked 31 years for Monterey Coal Mine retiring in 2007.

Surviving are his wife, Georgie; one son, Chris Palmer; step-children, Steve (Janelle) Moffitt, Donna (Jon) McDowell and Cecile (Brock) Gobel, Paul Neighbors and Roger (Courtney) Bowers; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Scott Palmer and Gary (Judy) Palmer; several nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Divernon Legion Hall from 12 pm until 3 pm.
