Marilyn Sue Dozier

Marilyn Sue Dozier, 87 of Springfield passed away Monday, November 25, 2024 at Prairie Village in Jacksonville.

She was born January 4, 1937 in Springfield, the daughter of Ralph and Lilly Nuckels Easley.

She married James “Jim” E. Dozier and he preceded her in death on January 18, 2021.  Also, preceded in death by step-son, James Wade Dozier.

Marilyn Sue worked as the secretary to the Vice President at UIS retiring in 2016.

Surviving are one daughter, Angie (Eddie) Costello; one son, Greg (Kathy) Grossner; four step-children, Monica Dozier, Justin Dozier, Garth (Rhonda) Dozier and Garret (Cammie) Dozier; 7 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Horse Creek Cemetery, Pawnee.
