Marilyn L. (Boblitt) Reynolds

Marilyn L. Reynolds, nee Boblitt, 81 of Pawnee passed away Friday, August 30, 2024 at Taylorville Care Center.

Marilyn was born December 5, 1942 in Taylorville the daughter of Orville and Frances Hall Boblitt. She grew up in the Pawnee area and was a 1961 graduate of Taylorville High School. She received her Associates Degree from Lincoln Land Community College and later retired as a Buyer with the Department of Central Management Services for the State of Illinois.

She married the love of her life, Michael J. Reynolds on September 21, 1963 and he preceded her in death on July 3, 2022.  Also, preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Larry Boblitt.

Marilyn was an active church member and a beloved Sunday School teacher for many years. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

She always had a kind smile and has left many cherished memories to her family and friends, but most of all she left her spunkiness, her stubbornness, and her quirky sense of humor to her daughter. Marilyn will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Surviving are her daughter, Marsha Reynolds; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm at Pawnee United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday at the church at 11:00 am with Rev. Bobby Davis officiating. Burial will be in Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee.
