Louise F. Armstead

Louise F. Armstead, 95 of Springfield passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022 at Arcadia in Auburn.

She was born Jan. 13, 1927 in Divernon, the daughter of Joe and Annie Euraskis Barnwell.

She married William Armstead in 1947 and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1970.  Also, preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Hanlon; a brother, Jack Barnwell and a grandson, Ricky Brown.

Louise was a voracious reader.  She loved to knit and crochet.

Surviving are her children, Billy Armstead, Rick (Susan) Armstead, Joann (Richard) Brown, Mike Armstead, Judy (Jason) Yoakum and Jerry (Cathy) Armstead; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Barnwell; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5pm till 7pm, Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022 at Bramley Funeral Home in Divernon.  Burial will be at 11am, Friday at Brush Creek Cemetery, Divernon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
