Louis C. Heggy

Louis C. Heggy 91 of Auburn passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at St. John’s Hospital.

He was born September 16, 1933 in Divernon; the son of Louis and Maude Paine Heggy.

Louis married Fannie Dewey on November 12, 1955.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.  Louis was a fanatic husband, and a loving father.  He loved being a grandpa and playing ball with his grandchildren.  He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and fast cars.

Surviving are his wife, Fannie; one daughter, Kimberly Heggy; five grandchildren, Kelcie, Shelby, Madison, Kirstie and Seth and seven great-grandchildren, Tru, Kobe, Noah, Rylin, Josiah, Bentley and Brielle.

Visitation will be from 2pm till time of services at 3pm, Monday, February 17, 2025 at New Testament Church of Jesus Christ in Auburn.  Graveside services will be at 1pm, Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield with military honors conducted by Inter-Veterans Burial Detail.

Memorials may be made to Louis’ wife, Fannie Heggy.
