Loretta E. Knuckey Bloome

Loretta E. Knuckey Bloome, 90 of Divernon passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at Cedarhurst of Springfield.

She was born Nov. 17, 1931 in Gillespie, the daughter of James and Bessie McPhail Knuckey.

She married Wilbur Bloome on Sept. 23, 1950 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2005.

Loretta retired from Illinois Secretary of State.

Surviving are four daughters, Linda (Gary) Woods, Connie (Bob) Day, Cindy Hogan, and Terri Froelich; one son, Denny Bloome; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandson; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9 am till time of services at 11 am Friday, June 24, 2022 with Rev. Bobby Davis officiating. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery.

The family requests St. Louis Cardinals or casual clothes be worn.

Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital or charity of your choice.
