Lillie Mae Baker

Lillie Mae Baker, 73 of Auburn, formerly of Springfield passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at her home.

She was born September 26, 1950 in Alton, the daughter of James and Marie McBride Anderson.

Lillie married Kenneth Nelson Baker on June 12, 1968 in New Berlin and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2009.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Norma Skelton; brother, Harry Anderson; a niece, Vickie Yost; and a nephew, Jeff Yost.

She worked as a CNA for 10 years and then as a teacher for 17 years.

Surviving are one son, Jonathan (Stephanie) Baker; two grandchildren, Isaac and Levi; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10am till time of services 11am, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Chatham Baptist Church with Rev. Milton Bost officiating.  Graveside services will be at 11am, Monday, June 10, 2024 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens, Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to the Chatham Baptist Church.
