Lawrence “Larry” M. Peregrin

Lawrence “Larry” M. Peregrin, 93 of Virden passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Courtyard Estates, Girard.

He was born June 17, 1932 in Thayer, the son of John and Mary Krehlic Peregrin.

Larry married Dorothy Elam on July 2, 1955 in Springfield and she preceded him in death on October 8, 2021.

He served in the Korean War U.S. AirForce.  He served on the Virden Fire Department for many years.

Surviving are two daughters, Cindy (Mark) Cooper and Lori (Bobby) Wilson; three grandchildren, Matt (Aryn) Peregrin, Stephanie Cooper (Richard Mouser) and Megan (J.C.) McClelland; five great-grandchildren, Emmy, Addy Jo and Ryleigh Peregrin, Freya and Atlas McClelland.

Private family services will be held at Virden Cemetery.
