Larry J. Trigg, 73, of Auburn peacefully passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 29, 1948 in Mattoon, the son of Warren and Mary Katherine Allen Trigg.
Larry was married to Jeanie Wheeler for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dog, Eli.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Medical Material Specialist, serving in Turkey during Vietnam. He retired as a Sergeant on Dec. 5, 1971. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelors in Business Administration. Larry spent his career as a Health Care Administrator in Texas and Illinois for his entire professional career.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanie; four children, Amanda Trigg Hollinshead, Sarah Trigg, Scotty (Abby) Savidan and Cody (Allison) Trigg; eight grandchildren; siblings, Daniel (Mary) Trigg, Tom (Cynthia) Trigg, Sue (Jim) Sides; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:30am till time of memorial services at 11am, Friday, Oct. 28, 2022 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn. Military Honors will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield at 12 noon.
