Krystal Lynn (Wise) Garst

Krystal Lynn (Wise) Garst, 51 of Girard passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at St. John's Hospital.

She was born December 4, 1974, in Carlinville, the daughter of John Butler and Deborah (Wise) Sharp. She was preceded in death by her father, John Butler; and father & mother in-law, Larry and Gloria Garst.

For more than a decade, Krystal proudly owned and operated her cleaning business, K&S Cleaning Service. She was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to her clients, many of whom became like family. She took great pride in her work and was grateful for the relationships she built over the years.

Krystal was a loving daughter, devoted mother, cherished sister, beloved aunt, caring cousin, and loyal friend to many. Beyond her work and devotion to her family, she lived a life of extraordinary generosity and service. She faithfully served Nilwood Baptist Church and the Girard food pantry, opened her home to children who needed support, and helped people whom others often overlooked. She gave generously of her time, resources, and heart, always believing that no one should face hardship alone. Whether supporting hurricane relief efforts, helping a neighbor in need, or offering a listening ear, she was known for giving whatever she could to anyone who needed it. Even in her final days, her selflessness continued through organ donation, allowing her legacy of compassion to live on by helping save the lives of others.

Surviving are two daughters, Bailey Garst and Klaire Cole; one son, Karson Garst; mother, Deborah (Wise) Sharp; one sister, Karen (Wise) Bell; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
