Kent (KT) Thomas, 79, of Pawnee passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 9, 1941 in Jacksonville, the son of Wilson and Christine Mitchell Thomas.
He married Sue Woods on Oct. 18, 1963 and she preceded him in death on Oct. 22, 2013.
Kent graduated from Waverly High School in 1959. After graduation he attended Illinois College in Jacksonville and graduated in 1963. He was a loyal “Blueboy” alumni and was a member of Gamma Nu Fraternity at IC. He retired from State Farm after 35 years.
Kent loved to travel and was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Fighting Illini and the Green Bay Packers.
He loved being a Papa to his 5 granddaughters.
Surviving are his children, Andrea (Gregg) Bandy and Jeff (Gabbrielle) Thomas; four granddaughters, Ashleigh (Josh) Walters, Allison Womack, Schyler Thomas and Carson Thomas; one great-granddaughter, Hadley Walters; longtime companion, Pam Spengler; one brother, Gary Thomas.
Per CDC and the Governor’s mandate, masks are required in the building.
Visitation will be from 5pm till 7pm, Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn. Services will be at 11am, Friday at the funeral home with Rev. A.B. Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Horse Creek Cemetery, Pawnee.
