Joseph "Joe" Wisniewski

Joseph “Joe” Wisniewski, 76 of Chatham passed away August 31, 2021 in Manitowoc, WI.

He was preceded in death by his father Roman and mother Monica (Reindi) Wisniewski.

Joe grew up in Manitowoc, WI. Shortly after graduating from Lincoln High School he enlisted in the Air Force for a four year period.

Joe held many different positions during his working career. His most rewarding being with the U.S. Postal Service as carrier then Postmaster in Blackstone, Franklin and Pennington Gap all in the state of Virginia.  Moving back to Illinois he was Postmaster in New Holland and Havana. Retiring from Havana, IL.

He leaves behind his wife Grace (Gilreath) Wisniewski; daughter, Monica Reed; son, Joseph (Todd); three sisters, Ann Marie Tegan, Lynn Hoida, Mary Lou Huibregtse; brother, Tom; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service for family and friends will be held at 10 am on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Cumberland Sugar Creek Cemetery in Glenarm with Rev. Paul Dinges officiating.
