John Carl “Farmer/Magee” Smith

John Carl “Farmer/Magee” Smith, 63 of Divernon passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center after a valiant battle with cancer.

He was born August 23, 1957 in Springfield, IL the son of John “Jack” and Beth Ann Barnes Smith.

He was a lifelong farmer and truck driver.

He is survived by his wife Kim; one son, Josh (Erin) Smith; one daughter, Kristin (Mike) Kern; two step daughters, Shannon (Mike) Haney and Amy Bolleto; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary (Tom) Nardi and Debbie (Pete) Karas; several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will from 3pm till 6pm, Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Edgewood Golf Course in Auburn.
