Joan Mundhenke, 88 of Pawnee passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at South Park Villas in Chatham.
She was born January 3, 1934 in Litchfield, the daughter of Russell and Florence Tester White.
Joan married Verne Mundhenke on June 1, 1953 and he preceded her in death on December 14, 2021. Also preceded in death by one son in law, Joe Robertson.
She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Chatham, the Village Bells, DAR and Lady Landowners.
Joan enjoyed spending time with family, attending grandchildren’s sporting events, traveling and playing cards.
She retired from the State of Illinois as an Account Clerk.
Surviving are six children, Janeece Robertson, Cindy (Mike) Murphy, Debbie (Terry) Agans, Steve (Jill) Mundhenke, Pam (Todd) Tarr, and Scott (Jodi) Mundhenke; ten grandchildren, Bobby (Christina) Murphy, Megan (Jody) Crouch, Chris (Sarah) Agans, Melissa (Ricky) Lamberti, Kyle (Caroline) Mundhenke, Alan (Sarah) Mundhenke, Courtney (Jonathan) Schrage, Katelyn Tarr, and Chase and Ty Mundhenke; thirteen great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, Bree Robertson, Allison Kohlbecker and Nick (Nicole) Robertson; four step-great grandchildren, and three nieces.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am till time of funeral mass at 10:30 am, Saturday, September 3, 2022 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Chatham with Rev. Joseph Molloy officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Pawnee.
