Jesse Moats Obituary

Jesse S. Moats, 79 of Ava, IL, formerly of Auburn, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Pinkneyville Community Hospital.

He was born Jan. 1, 1942 in Auburn the son of Wilbur and Margarette Pierce Moats.

Jesse married Shirley Wilson Aug. 27, 1960 and she preceded him in death on Nov. 15, 2004.

Surviving are three sons, Jesse (Chris) Moats, Tim (Debbie) Moats and Michael (Annie) Moats; one daughter, Cindy (Tom) Boarman; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Pat Hansen; one brother, Mike Moats; several nieces and nephews.

Private family graveside services were held at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
