Janice R. (Brooks) Whited

Janice R. (Brooks) Whited, 80 of Auburn passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

She was born November 30, 1943 in Springfield, the daughter of Ralph and Helen Blakey Brooks.

She married Charles Whited on September 6, 1988 in Clarksville, TN and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2020.  Also, preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Joshua Brooks; sisters, Jean and Joyce; sister-in-law, Carlene and brother-in-law, Albert.

She was an Operating Engineer for Local 965 retiring in 1987.  She was a member of Auburn Christian Church.

Janice loved music, bowling, and gardening.

Surviving are her son, Stephen (Annette) Brooks; one grandson, Sean Brooks; three sibling, JoAnn Westburg, Jerry Brooks and Jann (Rita) Brooks; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Celebration of Life will be from 1pm till 3pm, Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Auburn Christian Church.  Services will be at 11am, Monday at the church.  Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to any local animal shelter.
