James “Jim” Sergent

James “Jim” Sergent, 63 of Auburn passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025 at his home.

He was born July 11, 1962 in Springfield, the son of Nathan and Ruth Castleman Sergent.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pamela Pettus.

Jim married Patty Bowen on March 16, 1984 in Springfield.

Jim worked for Bunn-O-Matic.  He played softball, loved the St. Louis Cardinals and watching Auburn High School teams especially when his boys were playing.

Surviving are his wife, Patty; three sons, Kyle Sergent, Shane (Megan) Sergent, and Josh (Madison) Sergent; one daughter, Adriana Sergent; three grandchildren, Cora Sergent, Michael Meyers and Baker James Sergent; six siblings, Nate (Cindy) Sergent, Darrell Sergent, Larry (Michelle) Sergent, Tim Sergent, Gary (Betty) Sergent and Jeff Sergent; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10am till time of services at 12pm, Friday, December 5, 2025 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn.  Burial will be in Cumberland Sugar Creek Cemetery, Glenarm.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
