James "Jim" Dozier Obituary

James "Jim" E. Dozier, 86 of Springfield passed away Monday, Jan 18, 2021 at Prairie Village Healthcare Center in Jacksonville.

He was born May 9, 1934 in Pawnee, the son of Ralph and Dortha Highley Dozier.

Jim married Sue Laurent and they divorced. He later married Marilyn Sue Easley. He was preceded in death by his son, James Wade Dozier; one brother, Walt Dozier and one sister, Norma Rakes.

Jim served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a farmer, realtor and home builder in Chatham and Springfield area. He was a member of the Chatham VFW and Springfield Rotary.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Sue; one daughter, Monica Dozier; three sons, Justin, Garth (Rhonda) and Garret (Cammie); two step-children, Angie (Eddie) Costello and Greg (Kathy) Grossner; 7 grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Mangold; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Horse Creek Cemetery, Pawnee.
