Jack W. Morthole, 71 of Divernon passed away Wednesday, Aug 12, 2020 at his home two months after a devastating diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
He was born Aug 9, 1949 in Taylorville, the son of Dutch and Aleane Damery Morthole, who preceded him in death.
Jack graduated from Taylorville High School in 1967 and earned a bachelor’s degree. He retired from Gateway Foundation, Springfield as a clinical supervisor in 2015.
He had a passion for flower gardening, photography, rock collecting and the Blues.
Surviving is his wife of 20 years, Deby Nation-Jacobs; daughter, Cassandra; three grandsons; sister, Jill; brother, James; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held at 4pm on Sunday, Aug 23, 2020 at Deby’s son and daughter-in-law’s home at 18 Briarwood Lane, Rochester, IL.
