Henrietta R. Sisk

Henrietta R. Sisk, 97 of Divernon passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at her home in Divernon.

She was born January 10, 1929 in Tovey, IL; the daughter of John and Gertrude Hauser. 

She married James Sisk on June 1, 1946, and he preceded her in death on April 30, 2007. Henrietta was also preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Lonni Pritchard; granddaughter, Trisha Pritchard, daughter-in-law, Connie Sisk; granddaughter, Brittany Sisk and son-in-law, Bill Shea.

 As a teenager, she began working for a munitions plant in Illiopolis during WWII.  She was a wife and homemaker.  Henrietta and Jim owned and operated a turkey farm in Divernon, owned and operated Sisk-O Stables.  She worked as a secretary for an insurance company, worked for McConnel Upholstery shop, baked cakes for years and  was an avid volunteer for the American Red Cross for 20 plus years.  She also was a school bus driver the Chatham School District for 10 plus years.

Surviving are six children, Rachel Shea, Wayne (Deborah) Sisk, Charles Sisk, Steven Sisk, Sharon (Mike) White and David (Shelli) Sisk; 26 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William Hauser; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5pm till 7pm, Monday, August 3, 2026, at Bramley Funeral Home, 150 Reichert Rd, Divernon.  Funeral services will be at 11am, Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow at Cumberland Sugar Creek Cemetery in Glenarm.

Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or Animal Protective League.
